| If the body releases too much serotonin, which is a chemical released by the central nervous systom. This might have a life threatening effect known as serotonin syndrome . The case is generally due to interaction of two or more drugs. Abusive drugs such as ecstasy is also causing this disease. By observing the symptoms and hospitilization, treatment is possible. Generally the cause has to be determined and the use of the drugs causing serotonin release has to be withdrawn. |
